Proper preparation before operating a lawn mower directly impacts operational safety and efficiency, and has a direct and critical effect on the equipment's service life—neglecting any preparatory step may cause equipment failure and significantly shorten its lifespan. Therefore, before putting the lawn mower to work, it is essential to complete the following full-process preparation and inspection tasks in accordance with regulations.
(1) Check engine fuel (use diesel fuel with the appropriate grade for the ambient temperature) and engine oil levels. Address any issues promptly.
(2) Inspect battery charge level. Recharge the battery if it is low before using the mower.
(3) Warn people in the vicinity to stay clear of the machine.
(4) Assess the work area. Clear stones, tree stumps, and other debris beforehand to prevent mower malfunctions. Exercise caution or detour around ditches, obstacles, or uneven terrain to avoid collisions, rollovers, or other hazards.
(5) Inspect all machine connections for loose or missing screws. Repair any issues before use.
(6) For first-time use, the air filter must be filled with engine oil. Remove the oil bowl from the air filter and fill it with oil to one-third of the way down the concave section at the bottom. Ensure the filter cotton is fully saturated.
